Introduction
"Light Me Up" is a new song from the American producer. It is a collaboration with R&B singer Miguel and pop singer Julia Michaels. The song was first premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. It was then released on digital platforms later minutes later on July 25th, 2018.
"Light Me Up" was originally recorded by Jack U but only made it as demo.
This is from RL Grime's new album "Nova" - in stores on July 27th, 2018.

Meaning
The song is about love.
Miguel and Julia sing in the lyrics about a couple who has had their ups and downs - although more downs recently - but who ultimately know they are meant for each other. They are each other's guiding "lights".
Review
Both Miguel and Julia Michaels produce beautiful vocals in their respective laid-back verses. However, things will get "unlaidback" when the choruses kick in the magnificent RL Grime-produced upbeat electro-pop sounds are unveiled. So we get a ballad and a bop all in one song!
"Light Me Up" will definitely light up this summer of 2018!
