Watch Lady Gaga’s Acceptance Speech & “What’s Up” Performance at 2015 Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards
Pop sensation Lady Gaga was given the Contemporary Icon Award at the 46th annual Songwriters Hall Of Fame Induction And Awards held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City last night, June 18th.
The 29-year-old was handed the award by “Cheek 2 Cheek” co-creator, jazz legend Tony Bennett and delivered a very touch acceptance speech afterwards.
Later during the event, Mother Monster took the stage to perform a cover of 4 Non Blonde’s 1993 hit single “What’s Up”. Random song choice to cover you wonder? Not so much. Lady Gaga also covered this song (Linda Perry was a member of this old San Francisco rock band) at ArtRave last year.
Is this maybe indication Gaga’s working with Linda for the “Artpop” follow-up?
