[Photo] Official Single Cover for Lorde's 'Glory and Gore' Revealed!

Lorde Glory and Glore cover artwork

Republic Records is playing a risky game. They are releasing two new singles simultaneously from Lorde's 'Pure Heroine' album. The New Zealand singer has "Tennis Court" and "Glory and Gore" playing on US radio right now, on Top 40 and Alternative formats, respectively. If a music video is to be shot, no doubt Republic will pay to do one for "Tennis Court", as this is the new pop single, but curiously the first 'artwork' to surface is the that of "Glory and Gore". Check it out above.

Very dark, huh? I'm not totally positive on what's in the picture (I see a flowers wall in the left?), but Lorde's face inclination, gaze and lipstick color is giving me 'stunning' vibes. The official goes along rather well with the mood of "Glory and Gore". The synth-pop track talks about 'modern society's fascination with violence and celebrity culture'.

The official artwork for "Glory and Gore" was revealed by Billboard Brasil on Twitter (they are verified...so they must be reliable) on Sunday, April 20th.

"Glory and Gore" is co-written by Lorde and Joel Little and produced by the latter.

Both "Glory and Gore" and "Tennis Court" are great tracks and they should both have the chance to shine bright solo. If the US audience eventually likes one more better, that's going to mean the 'end' of the other as a single, and that's sad!
