Little Maddie Is Back! Sia Performs "Alive" With The Talented Kid On 'Ellen'
Little Maddie Ziegler is back!
Australian singer Sia was the musical guest on today’s “Ellen” episode and there she performed her new single “Alive” - taken from her upcoming seventh studio album “This Is Acting” that will be released by RCA Records on January 29th, 2016.
So far the TV performances we’ve seen Sia do this new era have seen no trace of little Maddie and just the presence of Sia alone, although for her “Bird Set Free” on SNL she did bring out some Chinese lady, leaving us with the doubt of what happened with Maddie - the little girl who captivated us with her amazing contemporary routines at Sia’s TV performances of “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” in 2013 and 2014. Did she need to focus on school maybe?
In any case, imagine my face of surprise and excitement when I saw none other than Maddie herself on stage today with Sia at her performance of “Alive” on “Ellen”! That was Maddie, y’all. She is back! At last Sia realized she NEEDED HER to make this new era work. It just wasn’t the same without her! Also, given Maddie was present at the “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” performances Sia did on ‘Ellen’ in 2013 and 2014, it was only logic for Maddie to also appear at this year’s performance. Will this be a one-time thing? Hopefully not. Sia better get rid of that Chinese lady and replace her with Maddie if she plans to make of “Bird Set Free” the next single from “This Is Acting”. Just saying…
For today’s performance of “Alive” on “The Ellen Show”, Sia’s stage was painted all white resembling an empty loft with just one plain window in sight - Maddie would be in charge of breaking the window pane with her fist later. Sia could be ‘seen’ hidden behind a black curtain singing “Alive” while Maddie did her contemporary dancing thing throughout the whole set. She killed it!
Big vocals by Sia, and phenomenal talent display by little Maddie too. This kid is going to be huge when she grows up. She totally needs to get hired for the "So You Think You Can Dance" judging panel when she's older.
