Ellie Goulding Covers Justin Timberlake on BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge": Listen
I can't believe we've yet to watch a proper television performance of Ellie Goulding doing her hit "Burn"...What's up with that?. Hopefully today's stop at BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" marks the beginning of a heavy promotional schedule in the UK media. Ellie dropped by the Fearne Cotton-hosted radio show to perform two songs of her choice acoustically. Evidently, one was the Ryan Tedder-penned uplifting smash "Burn", which spent three consecutives weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart. "Burn" will be knocked over from the peak by Katy Perry's "Roar" when the chart is updated this coming Sunday.
For her second, and cover performance, 26-year-old Ellie dared to sing Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors". Ms Goulding jammed to this song from the VIP area when JT rocked it at the latest VMAs. No doubt Ellie got the idea to cover this particular song from that moment. How did she fare?. She slayed a bit! The queen of falsetto made "Mirror" her own, and scored a win.
