Zendaya Shows Musical Growth In New Song “Close Up”: Watch The Stylish Music Video!
Zendaya is growing up so fast!
The Californian talent who became a household name thanks to the former Disney series “Shake It Up”, and is now starring in “K.C Undercover” in the same channel, is gearing up to release her second studio album in early 2016. Back in 2013, Zendaya released her self-titled debut via Hollywood Records and that album included the moderate hit “Replay”. The music in “Zendaya”, the album, was cute but a bit too generic, but now, 2 years later, Zendaya returns to the music scene, and at 19 year old of age, she feels ready to offer ‘quality’ music to the world.
Today, November 12th, Zendaya premiered the music video for a new song called “Close Up”, which will appear on her forthcoming LP. This flawless was made possible thanks to a collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and Hunger TV. “Close Up” is just a ‘buzz’ single from Zendaya’s upcoming project and not an ‘official’ one yet. Just for the record! This upcoming Zendaya LP will be released by Hollywood and Republic Records. Both label, similar to what Hollywood and Island did in the case of Demi Lovato, have reached an agreement that will allow Zendaya to have more creative control over her music and try new sounds, finally leaving behind her ‘nice girl’ image.

This new song “Close Up” is the first taste of Zendaya’s new sound. Now her music is cute, but hot too. “Close Up” is a super sultry R&B ballad. I’m not sure if she song is about Zendaya having a naughty boyfriend photographer or if this is just a metaphor to the ‘action’ that happens in the bedroom, just kidding, I know which one is, it’s just that I don’t want to say it because Zendaya’s little fans may be reading this. “Close Up” is definitely a step-up for Zendaya in all aspects. It is hot R&B, and it’s solid proof Zendaya has much talent to offer. The “Close Up” music video, directed by British photographer Rankin, shows Zendaya looking super stylish in fierce Vivienne Westwood outfits, slaying with her body language, and splashing on the water. I don’t know why but this music video of Zendaya’s is giving me Beyoncé vibes, and as you know, this ain’t a bad thing.
