Zayn Rude For Giving Niall The Cold Shoulder at 2016 AMAs’ Encounter? See Video!
Both Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, former One Direction stars and possibly former friends too, attended the 2016 American Music Awards last night (Nov. 20). Zayn won the "Best New Artist" award and Niall was there to perform his debut solo single "This Town" live. Did the two run into each other? Yes, they did. And it was AWKWARD.
Niall had already warned us, though, that this uncomfortable situation could happen. During his red carpet interview, the Irish singer said he hadn't talk to Zayn IN MONTHS.

The tea:
A video uploaded to Twitter shows Niall casually walking towards his front row seat and spotting Zayn already seated. Niall stops next to him, he extends his hand to greet Zayn, and the "Like I Would" singer complies - but with a really "MEH..." face all over him. Zayn had no real emotion or excitement about meeting his former (???) friend of years. He had no smile on his face and he DIDN'T EVEN STAND UP to engage with him in a little conversation or even give him a little hug. It was all cold and awful. He literally gave Niall the cold shoulder.
Why so rude, though?
Maybe Zayn thought nobody would record that moment?
Do I think Zayn's reaction to an encounter with Niall would have been different if TV cameras were filming? HELL YEAH!
Very sad. You can even tell Zayn was avoiding eye-contact with Niall to try not to greet him but Niall, since he is so polite and well-behaved, did approach him.
