World Premiere! OneRepublic - "Kids": Full Audio + Review
I’m speechless at how good the new OneRepublic single “Kids” is!
The REAL lead single from the band’s forthcoming fourth studio album premiered today (Aug. 11) on Spotify. It will be available tomorrow on iTunes.
“Kids” is the real lead single and not “Wherever I Go”, which was recently “downgraded” to buzz single by Ryan Tedder when he said on Twitter: “Our next single ("Kids") will be the jump off song for the actual album”.
I guess the underperformance of the song left the band a bit surprised.

Anyhow! “Kids” is the present now and it is a fantastic present! This song is a trillion times better than “Wherever I Go” and it already sounds like a timeless hit from OneRepublic! This could really smash big time!
The production in “Kids” is particularly gorgeous. Yep. It’s got that perfect blend of current sound, electronic and rock elements, different melodies, percussion noises, and of course; amazing vocals from Ryan Tedder. It gives M83 vibes!
I’m really, really amazed!
“I refuse to look back thinking days were better / Just because they're younger days”, sings Ryan in OneRepublic’s new single which is about a man who thinks relationships at an older age can perfectly be just as intense as when you were younger. It’s all about taking care of the flame!
