World Premiere! Lea Michele - "Love Is Alive": Full Audio + Review

lea michele love is alive artwork

Lea Michele (“Glee”) has been through so much since the death of Cory Monteith that it was a given she needed a fresh start for her music career and a project to channel her new view for life. And that’s what’s shown in her new single “Love Is Alive” - another song that should have been released on Valentine’s Day that celebrates love for what it is. “Love Is Alive” is a glorious piano ballad where Lea Michele not only moves us with her touching lyrics but also with her piercing singer (show off them pipes, girl!).

On “Love is Alive”, she revealed:

“It’s such a special song for me. I wanted a song on the album that represented where I am personally in my life right now, and this song is exactly that. It’s about believing in love and the power and beauty of love. It made me so happy while recording it, and I hope it brings the same light and joy to everyone else as it has for me”.

Love is Alive” is the official lead single from Lea’s forthcoming second studio album “Places”, which will be released a little late in the year via Columbia Records.

*We completely adore the song. And actually, we gave it a standing ovation once our first listen of it finished. BUT… we are a bit in fear about how well will “Love is Alive” fare on the charts and radio - for it is in the end an official single. Lea Michele is clearly opting for a less pop sound this time around and a more “Adele” approach for her music. We just hope her fans and the general public will love this.
