World Premiere: Christina Aguilera - “Change” [Full Audio + Review]
Christina Aguilera just released today, June 17, her first new original song in years. However, it is not a song from her much-anticipated eighth studio album, but a song that was inspired by the tragic death of all the victims of the Orlando shooting. Christina’s new track “Change” is a powerful ballad where the coach of “The Voice” and pop superstar talks about the issues that the LGBT community is sadly almost obliged to face in society these days. “When I Was young / I remember being filled with such wonder / Before learning that the world could be harsher / Who you love / Shouldn't decide how you will be treated”, she sings.
Proceeds from “Change” digital purchases will go to a fund for the families of the Orlando shooting victims. So if you can help out, then you know what to do on iTunes.
Commenting a bit deeper on the actual song, my God does Christina still have those solid vocals within her. She hasn’t lost them yet. And hearing this type of song, I wouldn’t mind at all if her next album release weren't a pop/commercial project, and it were something more mature, and maybe Adele-esque. I have great expectations, Christina. Please, do not disappoint.
