Trey Songz Performs 'Can't Be Friends" on 'The View' & Pixie Lott Visits 'Alan Titchmarsh'

Trey Songz is incredibly en route to becoming one of the best selling artists in the R&B area of 2010, as his latest album "Passion, Pain & Pleasure" - released last September - was certified last week GOLD in America with overall sales now exceeding the 500,000 copies. Trey's also enjoying success on the Hot 100 chart, with the Nicki Minaj-assisted single "Bottoms Up" managing to peak not long ago at #6...and it's STILL currently within the Top 10. This all has translated into more promotional opportunities. The R&B crooner was spotted yesterday (December 9th) on ABC's 'The View' plugging his CD and also performing live. To my suprise though, he chose to perform "Can't Be Friends" and not "Bottoms Up". Not that I hate the ballad, I actually like it but keeping it real that song has only peaked at #43 so I don't get why still promoting it. Perhaps "Bottoms Up" wasn't the most appropiate song for 'The View'? Could be...Anyhow, Trey still delivered a powerful performance. Check out too the little interview afterwards.

Pixie Lott delivered earlier this week the first televised performance of "Catching Snowflakes", a new song included on the re-release of "Turn It Up". Ms Lott - donning a very wintry Russian look - sang the ballad beautifully. Again tho, what a curious song choice to perform. Pixie's new official single is "Can't Make This Over" so....I'm surprised she didn't sing that. Maybe, in this case, she thought "Catching Snowflakes" was the most 'christmassy'-feeling tune in the album and would fit these festive days? Hehe.
