Watch: The BET Hip Hop Awards 2014 - The Cyphers

The BET Hip Hop Awards 2014 - The Cyphers

The 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards took place back in mid-September and tonight (Oct. 14th) they finally made their television debut. The winners for the Snoop Dogg-hosted show were announced several hours before the TV start time, leaving more attention to be focused on the performances and rap cyphers.

Unfortunately this year's cypher groups don't look as good on paper as previous years (remember Kendrick last year and Eminem in 2011). That doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't an impressive showing. Made up of six groups, artists like Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Troy Ave, Logic, Ty Dolla $ign, Papoose, Remy Ma, Lil Mama, David Banner, King Los, and more all had the opportunity to showcase their freestyle talents.

Battle rapper Murda Mook earned himself one of the most talked about cypher's courtesy of a shot he took at Drake with the lines "...finish line is all mine, heard Drake? / How you flashbackin’ to actin’, it’s real here/ Cripple your career, put it back in a wheelchair."

Watch all the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards cyphers below.
