Now this was a duet I thought I'd never seen. Jennifer Lopez hit the stage at the Staples Center on Saturday night (August 24) to perform alongside country music princess Taylor Swift a fierce rendition of her classic, "Jenny From The Block" during the fourth and last (sold-out) show of Tay-Tay's "Red World Tour" at the Los Angeles venue.
After a cute introduction where Taylor explained "Jenny From The Block" was her favourite song to play over and over again in her room when 'she was really little' (that must've hurt J.Lo a bit, lol), the 'Mean' singer presented to her Staples Center crowd Ms Jennifer Lopez. And knowing the diva Jenny is, you know she just HAD to have a few seconds of pure silent, no-music intro when ascending to the stage so she could soak up all the cheering, screaming and applausing by the crowd. After that, Jennifer and Taylor joined forces to sing "Jenny From The Block". Jennifer's vocals were..hmm...shaky, to say the least. But she killed in the dancing department, though. J.Lo had a solo dance break moment in this performance. Taylor and Jennifer then got together again to close the performance with a cute, 'let's werk it, gurl" moves.
