British newcomer Sam Smith made his 'Saturday Night Live' debut on March 29th. Capitol Records have major hope on the BBC Sound of 2014 winner as they're 'pushing' Sam on both sides of the pond. 'SNL' is the beginning of U.S promo.

Sam will be releasing his debut album "In The Lonely Hour" this May 26th, and is currently promoting the third official single, "Stay With Me", a single whose audio and music video were both debuted earlier this week. And Sam is wasting no time to plug the new gospel-ish song. He included it on his two-song setlist last night on 'SNL'.

Looking smart in a suit, the 21-year-old performed for the NBC viewers; "Lay Me Down" and "Stay With Me", first and third single from "In The Lonely Hour", respectively. Great performances! But... I'm really shocked with the selection of "Lay Me Down". Why no "Money on My Mind"? In such a momentous night, this song deserved to be sung!

Thoughts?
