Jennifer Lopez paid respect to the artist that in all truth lunched her career by portraying her in the biopic about her life. I’m talking about Selena Quintanilla, a beloved Mexican-American singer that was murdered by shotgun by a friend/employee in 1995 when she was in her prime.
J. Lo was cast to be Quintanilla in the film “Selena” that hit theaters in 1997 and was positevely received by the general public. This “Selena” role was the opportunity that opened Jennifer the doors for the career that she now has, so she has a lot of forever thanking to do to the late singer.

At the 2015 Latin Billboard Awards held at the Bank United Center in Miami, Florida on Thursday night, April 30, Jennifer Lopez performed an 8-minute medley of the most popular songs by Selena in honor of the 20th anniversary since she passed away and her music turned iconic.
Jenny, and her slick back hair, assassinated the stage. She gave her 100%, it showed, and overall the tribute performance was something captivating to watch from the very first to the last second.
