Watch Fifth Harmony Do "Sledgehammer" on GMA Now! [Full Performance]
This is what happens when you make an artist pre-record his performance: that it gets leaked online before the scheduled TV premiere! Teen pop girl band Fifth Harmony stopped by the “Good Morning America” studios in New York City on Friday (Nov. 7) to tape their first television performance of “Sledgehammer” – the brand new single from their upcoming debut album “Reflection” due in stores in January 2015 (delay was announced this week).
The Meghan Trainor-penned future pop hit is a high-energy record that talks about that feeling that you feel when you’re in love. “If you could feel my heart beat now / It would feel just like a sledgehammer”, sing the 5H ladies in the hook of their new single. They’ve each just met a special somebody and they can’t their faces away from their heads.
So. This taped GMA performance is scheduled for broadcast next WEDNESDAY, November 12. (lol). Did the GMA people really didn’t know what was going to happen? The tens of Fifth Harmony fans that got tickets to see their icons live in-studio all took out their phones, recorded the entire “Sledgehammer” performance and then uploaded the videos on YouTube. So the GMA “exclusive” is ruined. They should’ve taken their phones away! If I were the GMA director, I would air 5H’s performance this Monday morning.
Anyway, the performance was KILLER. Yes, there was too much lip-syncing for my taste, but the girls slayed that stage anyway with their charisma, hair tossing and body moves. BTW, how FIERCE was Normani?
