Watch: Denmark Wins Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Loreen Slays Us Once Again

denmark wins 2013 eurovision
loreen performs eurovision 2013

As the odds predicted, Denmark's Emmelie de Forest was crowned as the winner of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, held this year in Malmo, Sweden on May 18. The song performed by Denmark's representative is called "Only Teardrops" and it is kind of an euro-folk/pop record. The song was intelligently crafted. Europe likes this kind of 'regional' sound, plus Emmelie executed "Only Teardrops" flawlessly last night. She's got a really beautiful voice! Her triumph was deserved. What happened to Cascada, tho?, lol.

In any case, despite I'm sure Emmelie de Forest is the happiest girl in the world right now, someone should send her a memo that the true star of Saturday May 18 night was Queen Loreen. Last year's Eurovision Song Contest winner took the Malmo Arena stage to reprise her 2013 winning song "Euphoria", plus slay us even further with live performances of "My Heart Is Refusing Me", and her brand new single "We Got The Power", which sounded simply epic. I guess we all know by now that Loreen's voice is ridiculous, but I just can't help to get 'wowed' everytime I hear her 'talent'. Maaad vocals! I was actually rooting for her to win again last night, lol. Go Loreen! Anyway, off to Copenhagen now!

Thoughts?
