When did Wanda Sykes become a back-up dancer? lol! I swear one of the dancers at Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You” performance this morning (March 2) on ABC’s “Good Morning America” looked exactly like the “Monster-in-law” actress.

Anyhow, yes, today, Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen delivered the first live and televised performance of her comeback single, the Max Martin co-written “I Really Like You”. The catchy pure-pop song is available as of Monday on iTunes. She wanted to let the few people in America that didn't know about today's release of “I Really Like You” that she is back and ready for slay again. Although “I Really Like You” is not on the same level as the iconic “Call Me Maybe”, Carly’s new single is uber catchy, a breath of fresh air from the type of music that's playing on radio right now, no doubt (at least I hope so) that it's going to perform fairly well on the charts.

But the question is: did Carly’s GMA “I Really Like You” performance was as amazing as the song? Well, for what it was/she is, it was good. Carly's not the greatest performer in the world, and an 8 a.m in-studio performance at "Good Morning America" isn't really the most exciting way to kick the TV performances series of your new single. It should’ve been at an awards show, or at a late-night, or at "Ellen", not on GMA. But whatever. As I said, for what it was, it was a cute performance. The choreography was cute, the live vocals were decent, and the new bob hair Carly’s sporting looks good on her.

By the way, I think that’s the largest crowd I’ve ever seen for an in-studio GMA performance. Go Carly! Looks like people in America were really excited for her comeback. Did all those people begg for extra tickets or what?

Thoughts?
