Watch: Carly Rae Jepsen Debuts New Single 'Take A Picture' Live on 'American Idol'
Carly Rae Jepsen performed her new single "Take a Picture" during the Top 2 Performance Show of 'American Idol' on May 15. The new song from the Canadian singer was conceived thanks to a partnership with Coca-Cola. For the last month or so, visitors at the 'Perfect Harmony' campaign website helped Carly pick the lyrics for the song's verses. The final result was unveiled with Carly's performance on 'Idol' only last night.
"Take a Picture" is a cute pop song, with kind of racy lyrics such as "Making love to the flashes Posing the way that we do, for everybody to see", but ultimately it goes nowhere. It's flat, it's nothing special, sorry Carly! Plus, her live performance of "Take a Picture" was so boring. I mean, after watching Kree and Candice sing their hearts out on Wednesday night Carly's performance looked like a joke, lol. Oh well, if you DO like the record then you can get a free download right now thanks to Coca-Cola. Carly will make an official release of "Take a Picture" on iTunes next week, but for what reason?. I just don't know!
