Video Premiere: Charli XCX - "After the Afterparty"
No doubt Halloween was the best time to drop this!
Only two days after releasing her new single titled “After the Afterparty”, an infectious and catchy song with an anthemic chorus, British singer-songwriter Charli XCX premiered the official music video on her YouTube channel (Oct. 30).
The video, of Halloween inspiration, sees the “Boom Clap” singer walking in the park with her zombie friends and doing all kinds of racy poses on a sofa, and sees as well as gruesome stuff like someone holding a human heart on his hand or the zombie people biting each other’s skins off! … among other things. But if there’s something that glues everything we see in this “After the Afterparty” music video together, that’s the color pink. Pink is everywhere!
*“After the Afterparty” is the official lead single from Charli XCX’s forthcoming third studio album, which will be released in the coming months via Atlantic Records.
Still not sure if “After the Afterparty” will be capable of surpassing the chart performance of “Boom Clap” (peaked at #8) in the US, but no doubt it will give that old hit a run for its money! Beware, Hot 100 chart!
