Victoria Justice - 'Gold' (Music Video)
Victoria Justice has a thing for Colton Haynes in the joyous and glossy music video for "Gold", the official debut single by the 20-year-old American actress-singer.
VJ has put an end to Nickelodeon's hit series "Victorious" to pursue a music career, and she better be successful with it, 'cause otherwise, we'll all be hating on Victoria for abruptly ending such an iconic series like "Victorious" was! lol. Anyway, co-produced by The Struts, Peter Thomas, and Jay Vic, "Gold" is a one of those bubblegum, happy pop love songs that sticks in your head and kind of improves your mood. My fear?. That I'm not sure it is a strong 'first single'. Victoria's debut studio album is coming out, I guess later this year, and she should have a bona-fide smash first single to precede it, something like Ariana Grande has in "The Way". For instance Victoria's "Gold" was released on iTunes USA last month, but it's finding it really hard to maintain itself within the Top 100. Did it have a good first-week peak, though?. Can't remember that.
As for the "Gold" visual, it's not very high-budget but it's cute and expresses well the vibe and the fun of the song. Teen Wolf's Colton Haynes plays Victoria's love interest as they hang inside and around a pink convertible car. Other scenes see pretty Victoria enticing the camera with her cuteness and singing in front of a 'gold' graffiti wall.
