Usher Drops Cheerios-Sponsored New Song "Clueless": Listen
Usher has teamed up with General Mills and Walmart to give his cereal-eating fans a treat. When you buy a specially-marked box of Honey Nut Cheerios at Walmart you’ll find a download code to get a brand new Usher song titled “Clueless”. The R&B mid-tempo is apparently a track that won’t be appearing on his upcoming eighth album “UR” (to be released in 2015 via RCA Records) but that was part of its “studio sessions”.
Ehhhh…not sure how bad it looks for the music industry to be resorting to this kind of “deals” to sell songs (it’s obvious General Mills and Walmart are paying RCA good money), but I guess fans will be happy to get a new Usher song for free with their cereal purchases.
“Clueless” song review
R&B mid-tempo, the minimal productions feel right, and Usher’s crooner-ish vocals couldn’t be more perfect. “I'm sold out on this love, it's the only thing I'm sure of / But for everything else I'm clueless”, sings Usher Baby! in the chorus of his “Cheerios” track "Clueless". Awww! It’s a love song! Usher knows nothing else in this world but the love of his woman.
