UK's Matt Terry Drops New Single "Sucker For You" & It's A Bop: Stream

matt terry sucker for you cover

Here’s the first single from British singer Matt Terry’s upcoming debut studio album. Matt Terry, for those out there not familiar with him, was the winner of the 2016 edition of The X Factor UK. His winner’s single, the Ed Sheeran-written “When Christmas Comes Around", peaked at #3 on the UK Singles Chart. Matt is signed to RCA Records UK.

Matt won The X Factor last December and it’s taken him exactly 10 long months to come out with new music. Was the waiting worth it? After a quick first listen of his new single entitled “Sucker For You”, we can say that YES. A big YES actually.

Sucker For You” has a cute dance-pop, bop-worthy moment in the chorus, it has some resemblance to a Chainsmokers song, Matt’s vocals are so heavenly, and all in all this sounds like a very solid first single - and it’s very radio-friendly! We loved it on the first listen. And you wonder what’s the song about? Well, Matt Terry sings in here about an unhealthy relationship that he really doesn’t mind being stuck in as long as he is allowed to remain with the one he says he loves. Examples? “I don't care how many times you breaking my heart”, “Baby I don't mind, keeping me waiting” or “Do whatever you want to me to do, when you ask me”.
