Troye Sivan Premieres “Wild” Remix With Alessia Cara: Listen Now! [FULL]
It's here! Just as he promised, Troye Sivan world premiered the remix of his song "Wild" featuring Alessia Cara today (June 23). First the remix got played on Elvis Duran's Z100 radio show at 7AM and then it became available on iTunes and Spotify.
What's the purpose of this remix? Everybody thought "Talk Me Down" was going to be the next official single from "Blue Neighborhood", as some reports indicated, but looks like Troye's label had a last-minute board meeting to make a different decision. This "Wild" remix is said now to be the official follow-up to "Youth", which became a surprise hit for Troye in the US reaching the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. Will it be a good idea re-releasing "Wild"? Hopefully! I know it's already gotten played on US radios, back when the "Wild" EP was released, but I'm sure that since now it features Alessia Cara and the song's obtained a new fresh appeal, radios will be excited to add "Wild" to their playlists again.
Why with Alessia Cara? This was a no brainer. Troye's a huge fan of Canada's very own Ms. Alessia. He's covered her songs a lot at his shows. And I'm sure Alessia is a fan of Troye's music too. So surely when he rang her up, Alessia was immediately on board to record this remix - which, by the way, is so good, and totally deserves Hot 100 Top 25 success too.
"Wild" is totally back to be fresh again thanks to Alessia's new vocals! Must-listen!
