See? A bad critique in time can do wonders for an artist.

Following his disastrous debut TV performance of “Strip That Down” a few weeks ago on BBC One’s “The Graham Norton Show”, and our bad review of it, Liam Payne stepped it up last night on NBC’s “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon”. For the second televised performance of his solo debut single, Liam showed improvement, showed he definitely read our critique of his “Graham Norton” performance, and showed he ain’t done with “Strip That Down” as a single yet; for seemingly Liam thinks the Quavo-assisted pop-urban tune still has much to do and many chart peaks to achieve (despite it failing to match the success of fellow One Directioner Niall Horan’s second solo single “Slow Hands”).

Watch Liam do “Jimmy Fallon”:

He looked handsome, that white t-shirt suited his toned upper body quite nicely, he sounded very good despite all the stage moving around, the whole choreography/routine looked more polished and he executed his parts much better, the stage was cool, and the visuals behind Liam were cool too, and the Hollister dressing room-like low light added to the performance in the sense it made us focus on Liam’s pretty face and not very much on the whole thing he was doing on that stage (for it was very dark!). Because everybody knows Liam is a better vocalist than a "stage entertainer".
