The Weeknd Performs 'Earned It' On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live': Watch
Coming off his performance at the 2015 Juno Awards in Canada, The Weeknd helped Jimmy Kimmel bring his late night show to a close yesterday with a live rendition of 'Earned It'. The track is one of two contributions that the Toronto artist has on the 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' soundtrack; the other being 'Where You Belong'.
Last night's episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' moved from its original location in Los Angeles to Austin, Texas as part of the South By Southwest Festival. In addition to performing on Kimmel, The Weeknd had his own show at SXSW, where he debuted a new track tentatively titled 'Mood Music'. The tune is reminiscent of his signature sound and is rumored to be produced by Mano.
'Earned It' is currently sitting at the no. 6 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The Weeknd mentioned we can expect the follow up to his 2013 LP, 'Kiss Land', soon and now would be a great time to capitalize off the momentum of the single and get the album campaign in motion.
