Oh my goodness! Watch Canadian crooner The Weeknd go literally up in flames in the official music video for “Can’t Feel My Face”, the Max Martin-produced latest single from his forthcoming second studio album “Beauty Behind the Madness”, which is going to arrive in stores around the world on August 28th via XO/Republic Records.
This is so going to be the year of The Weeknd. After many mixtapes, collaborations, a highly-praised debut album (2013’s “Kiss Land), and having two singles chart on Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100 at the same time (“Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills” were both on the Top 10 until last week!), you just know The Weeknd is coming for blood now. He’s right now at his prime, people and critics are loving him, his new songs are on constant repeat on radio, and it’s evident that his first week sales with the upcoming album “Beauty Behind the Madness” are going to be major and I predict almost-Taylor Swift major. There you go, I said it.
The Grant Singer-directed “Can’t Feel My Face” music video world premiered today, July 28th, exclusively on Apple Music – surely it’ll be up on VEVO too in a couple of days. The clip shows The Weeknd being assigned the difficult mission of entertaining a tough crowd at a dimly-lit club. Eventually people will love him after a concert-goer throws a lighter at The Weeknd, he gets literally on fire and give the crowd a concert experience unlike anything that's ever been seen before. WOW!
