Taio Cruz: 'Would You Hold It Against Me?'
Now this was cool! Who knew Taio Cruz could sing like THIS? The British star is currently promoting his new single "Higher" in the UK - One of the promotional stops took Taio this week to tape his BBC 1's Live Lounge Sessions, a series of acoustic performances, where at a point the guest artists can choose any 'new song' out there now to play a cover. Mr Cruz didn't want to play it safe, and opted to sing one of the major 'tunes' of the moment. The "Dynamite" singer covered Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me", and let me tell you it was VERY GOOD! Vocals were right on point, he increased the intensity when needed, and although he didn't pronounce "hazy" like Britney lol, he still nailed the performance. Sad though, Taio Cruz as a balladist would have a short career on the charts. Just stick to the club bangers, I guess.
