Taio Cruz Performs "Dynamite" on Jimmy Kimmel & Katy Perry Performs on Germany's Next Top Model!
British act Taio Cruz gave one of the first televised performances of his new single from the US edition of "Rockstarr", the Dr Luke-produced "Dynamite". Great and energetic performance. Cruz' album is now out in America, which includes a couple of brand new songs. "Dynamite" debuted at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart but I mean it's following the style/trend of "Break My Heart" (#1 in the USA) so I'm guessing with more TV promotion like this one the single can do well better.
Pop star Katy Perry has already attained the first objective of her album era, getting the lead single "California Gurls" be #1 in the United States. So now that that is done, she has headed to Germany to kickoff the European promotion of the upcoming LP "Teenage Dream" (out August 24). Katy performed the beach-friendly pop song on Germany's Next Top Model on Thursday. I didn't know this show had a special section for live performances? Maybe this was the finale or something. I still crack up when I see her throwing the beach balls to the audience LOL. The "California Gurls" music video should premiere any day now!
