The British singer, who famously did a verse on Jax Jones and Demi Lovato’s “Instruction” smash, released today her debut mainstream single, a song called “Hurtin’ Me”, featuring none other than “Unforgettable” rapper French Montana. Stefflon Don has been signed to Polydor Records /Universal in the UK, hence she being able to collaborate with top artists such as French Montana! (that must feel really cool, to have your debut single featuring a major artist you probably look up to).
Stefflon Don’s “Hurtin’ Me” is a sultry mid-tempo track infused with plenty of island/Caribbean vocals from Stefflon Don (which we already got a glimpse of in “Instruction”). Although born in the UK, Stefflon Don’s parents are from Jamaica, hence her accent/singing accent!
“Hurtin’ Me” speaks of Stefflon Don’s sentiments of pain to see her ex has already moved on and is dating another girl.
