foo fighters run video premiere

I know they are big but I had no idea the anticipation for new Foo Fighters music was this grand. The music video for this new song has been viewed over 2 million times in less than 24 hours!

The rock band released the studio version of their new song “Run” (which they previewed in concert back in February) yesterday on digital stores by surprise, simultaneously premiering the music video on VEVO. No prior warning was given to fans. “Run” is said to be an official single from Foo Fighters’ forthcoming ninth studio album, but that’s yet to be confirmed. The band did say the would spend “most” of 2017 recording their new album – so it could be that “Run” is just an appetizer for fans to calm their hunger before the true ninth album promo begins.

Before the time runs out / There's somewhere to run / Wake up / Run for your life with me”, sings front-man Dave Grohl on the chorus of the band’s new freedom-seeking anthem. Feeling stressed at the moment? Then listen to Foo Fighters’ new song “Run” immediately. It will make you change your state of mind in a second and make you go do something productive!

The true show-stealer is the music video, though. This is one the craziest things I’ve seen in awhile, and I’m living. Directed by front-man Dave Grohl (he’s got many talents!), the music video for “Run” sees all of the band members wearing special make-up to resemble elder people in a nursing home. But since they are no “ordinary” elder people, they will make of the nursing home their own special territory. So they will “Foo Fighter” it a bit and cause a pandemonium alongside the other patients just to have fun. And they will do so while kicking ass doing some rock and roll live performing!
