Shayne Ward - Gotta Be Somebody (Music Video!)
British singer Shayne Ward has premiered today the music video for "Gotta Be Somebody", the official lead single from his upcoming third album "Obsession" which will available from November 15th - As you know, Shayne is looking to top the charts again with this cover of Nickelback's 2008 single of the same name (Top 10 hit in the USA). The rockish edge the Canadian band originally gave the tune has been placed with syth-beats and a dose of auto-tune. At first I wasn't feeling AT ALL the song (Ward's version that is) but I have to admit it has grown a bit on me. As for the new music video, it's not bad but shame at the fact Shayne's resorting to sell SEX ('sex appeal', etc) to sell records now. Someone is copying Trey Songz' strategy lol. Anyways, I really think Shayne will need an X Factor performance to kick-off this new era in a good way as I doubt "Obsession" alone will become a record-breaking album. It'll need a push, as I feel there's no Shayne Ward hype anymore. "Gotta Be Somebody" will be released in the UK on November 7th.
