Shawn Mendes Performs “Illuminate” Songs On “The Today Show” [VIDEO]
Shawn Mendes gathered a pretty large crowd at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on Friday morning (July 8) for his live mini-concert for NBC’s “The Today Show”.
No doubt the alignment of this ‘Today’ performance and the official announcement of his second studio album “Illuminate” earlier this week was no mere coincidence. He meant to announce his upcoming new album this week so he could promote the hell of it yesterday on ‘Today’. Not only did Shawn remind his fans at Rockefeller Plaza and the millions of viewers watching from home about the pre-order availability of his new album and that its release date was September 23rd like a trillion times, the Canadian singer also took the ‘Today’ opportunity to perform a brand new song live - it was “Ruin”.
The other two songs Shawn performed yesterday morning in NYC were: his current single “Treat You Better” and the oldie “Stitches”.
Fans got their LIFE.
