Sevyn Streeter’s “D4L” Is One Catchy Step Back For The Fierce R&B Singer: Listen

Just when I thought Sevyn Streeter was ready to give us her best R&B with the official singles from her long-awaited full-length debut studio album, she releases “D4L”, produced by The Dream. This becomes the newest single from “Girl Disrupted” and the official follow-up to the flawless “My Love For You”.
“D4L” is a step backwards from “My Love For You”, theres’s no denying that, but I also can’t deny that “D4L”, which means “Down For Life”, is both really catchy and sexy cute. But, yeah, this isn’t the path nor sound I want fierce Sevyn Streeter to take on. She should only be doing flawless music, like “My Love Is For You”, now. My opinion is that she could have sold “D4L” to someone. But oh well, there’s no time to regret. Sevyn kept “D4L”, recorded it, and it is going to be appear on “Girl Disrupted” when it comes out.

She has spotted this guy in the club and she isn’t going to let him go anywhere. She doesn’t know if he’s married or not but Sevyn doesn’t care. She’s decided to go ‘down for life’ with him and that is what’s going to happen. As if any man could resist Sevyn’s charm… that fella is going down!
Veeeeery catchy lyric rhyming in the chorus. The Dream knows how to do commercial R&B. But Sevyn, this is not the best decision. Leave these songs to teen girls signed to RCA or Interscope who are just starting in the R&B business.
