Selena Gomez Plays Hot Snippet Of "Revival" Title Track, Performs "Same Old Love" at Fan Event In L.A: Watch
Oh my god. Can Selena Gomez please release her new album "Revival" like tomorrow? I really need it badly now. I just know it's going to be her best body of work yet, and I haven't heard the full set yet! But considering the slaying snippet of the title track she played at a fan event last night (Sept. 16) in Los Angeles, OMG, it's evident the "Revival" era is going to be KILLER.
Yeah, Selena hosted this super secret fan event yesterday that only a few lucky fans could attend. In it, she did a Q&A with the fans, narrated in the first person the process of recording "Revival", performed "Good for You" and "Same Old Love" (confirmed to be the second single now) live, showed the fans a few seconds of the "Same Old Love" music video on a big screen (coming soon!), and played a snippet of the title track "Revival", which to me, and only having heard a minute of it, totally puts "Good for You" and "Same Old Love" to SHAME as it is to me the best song I've heard from the "Revival" era thus far. OMG at that production, those lyrics, that passionate singing, and that makes-you-wanna-lose-it post-chorus! (ohhh oh! ohhh oh!).
The next best thing about last night's fan event should have been the "Same Old Love" first live performance ever, but as you probably already know if you've read my review of the song, I'm not that fond of it, and to put things worse, I felt like the live performance of it was really flat. Yet, I have the strong belief "Same Old Love" will be the only weak song on the LP.
