Sara Bareilles Premieres Full Studio Version Of “She Used To Be Mine”, From Upcoming “Waitress” Album: Listen

sara bareilles she used to be mine

Sara Bareilles was given the job to write all of the songs for the newest Broadway play "Waitress" (starring Tony-winner Jessie Mueller), which debuted only last month in NYC. And apparently either the play has been an outstanding success or Sara's connection to "her" songs is so powerful because the "Brave" singer has announced that she will compile of her "Waitress" songs, and include them all, this time sung by her, in a studio album, which will apparently be treated as her fifth official one. Even the lead single from the album, "She Used To Be Mine", will be sent to radios! The song's expected to for adds on Hot AC radio on September 28th in the US. Sara's new album will be titled "What's Inside: Songs From Waitress", with the expected release date being early November (it seems her label is going to wait for the Broadway play to increase its number of spectators to release Sara's album - clever!).

"She Used To Be Mine" (Sara Bareilles' version) surfaced online last night (Sept. 18) in its full HQ studio version. The song is a powerful piano-driven ballad (my God her vocals are stunning! I'm crying!) where Ms. Bareilles describes her "old" self with a profound sentiment of nostalgia.
