Sam Smith Blesses Us With “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” Cover On BBC Live Lounge!
Sam Smith made an appearance on BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” yesterday to keep on with the promotion of his latest “The Thrill of It All” album single “One Last Song”. The ballad was the first of the two songs the British singer-songwriter performed acoustically at the London studios of BBC Radio 1, where the “Live Lounge” is taped, on Wednesday noon. After doing “One Last Song”, he proceeded to do a mandatory cover of a song his choice, and with Christmas being around the corner, Sam obvious chose a song with a Christmas theme. What song? The classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”.
“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” has nothing with church music but Sam definitely took me to church with this cover. He made sound so soulful and I was just living for it so much. The vocals in this guy are just a gift from heaven.
