Robin Thicke Gives Nicki-Less First TV Performance Of "Back Together" on 'GMA': Watch Now

Blue-eyed crooner Robin Thicke made a live appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America” today, August 12th, to perform his new single “Back Together” for the first time on television. The Nicki Minaj-assisted song, produced by Max Martin, is the newest single from Mr. Thicke’s upcoming eighth studio album, the follow-up to last year’s major flop “Paula”, which is due in stores later in 2015 via Interscope.

This ain’t the first time Robin and Nicki are collaborating. They did already on “Shakin’ It for Daddy” off the R&B crooner’s 2009 album “Sex Therapy”.

Unfortunately, Nicki couldn’t be with Robin for his “Back Together” TV debut performance on “GMA” this morning so Paula Patton’s ex was forced to perform a ‘solo’ version of his new single. But fortunately (phew!), Robin delivered anyway a SOLID performance of his groovy, old school song. He knows how to own a stage and get the crowd to swoon in a matter of seconds!

PS: Do you imagine performing on stage with something other than a suit? No, right?

Update: Added below is the interview Robin Thicke gave before the performance. He discusses in it the real meaning of his new single and taking a time off music.
