So Much "Chemistry"! Rita Ora & Chris Brown Slay “Body On Me” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”: Watch Video
British singer Rita Ora offered the real first high-profile TV performance of her new single “Body On Me”, with the help of Chris Brown, on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC last night (Sept. 8)
The sexy single is lifted from the blonde singer’s upcoming sophomore studio album, due, in the theory, to come out later this year via Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
“Body On Me” so far has only made an “impact” on Rhythmic radio, barely holding on on the Top 20, as on Pop radio her single’s receiving no real support - as of this post “Body On Me” is not even on the Top 50!
Maybe this performance will help sales and airplay? We’ll see…but even though this performance at ‘JKL’ was really good, the song’s not really ‘convincing me’ yet’.
By the way, is it just me or after this performance I see more than just “good” chemistry between Rita and Chris? Does she want to be his next Rihanna?
Rita and Chris’s Tuesday night “Body on Me” performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” saw them using three different sets. First, Rita kicked things off by doing a choreography with two female dances on top of a small platform flanked by a small group of fans (DEAD at the fan on the right dancing with the Longchamp purse on! Drop it, sis!). Then, Rita Ora joined Chris, who was waiting for her in a new set decorated to be resemble a living room, where Rita kind of gave him a lap-dance. And finally, the two singers walked to the main in-studio stage of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to wrap up the “Body On Me” performance there before a larger crowd - the lustful eye contact between the two continued here.
Rita sang “Body On Me” really well to be honest. I was happily impressed. And Chris, well he clearly “tried” to singer live but his backing track was so loud, and the volume on his mic was so low, that in the end it gave the impression that he was lip-synching.
