Rihanna Gets Darker for 'V Magazine' Cover + Talks 'R8' Interludes!

Fashion icon Rihanna appears on the cover of the newest V Magazine issue that will be hitting newsstands starting May 7.

Photographed by Steven Klein in Hawaii, the 27-year-old singer’s magazine photo-shoot is all about looking like a fake blonde, showing skin, booty and darker skin, and serving island ‘chola’ make-up realness. Even if she’s supposed to be giving ‘trashy’ vibes, I’m only getting ‘fashion icon’. That’s how legendary Rihanna already is.

Her feature on V Magazine’s next issue isn’t all about the photos, though. RiRi also shares a few new details about her upcoming “R8” album on the inside interview:

“Dude, I’m in love with my interludes. This one called ‘James,’ joint is on constant repeat," she told the magazine. "[The album is] soulful and aggressive, whether it’s lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice.”
