Ricky Martin Gets Australia’s Delta Goodrem For English Version of “Vente Pa’Ca”: Listen Now!
Who would've told Delta Goodrem she'd be recording a vallenato/reggaeton song one day? Life's truly a mystery!
Engaged gay singer Ricky Martin just released this Tuesday morning a brand new remix to his fall Latin hit "Vente Pa'Ca" (whose original version features Colombian reggaeton star Maluma and reached #1 on Latin radio in the US). This new version is fully in English (it was bound to happen) and is collaboration with Australian pop princess Delta Goodrem, whom Ricky knows very well and is friends with after working with her as a fellow coach on "The Voice Australia" in previous seasons.
It was obvious that if Ricky Martin wanted to release a special remix version of "Vente Pa'Ca" in English and for the Australian market, that the collaborator had to be his dear friend Delta Goodrem.
Delta does a nice job in the second verse and the bridge and I like the English lyrics they've given "Vente Pa'Ca". Everything flows well. HOWEVER, I don't know what the hell they've done to Ricky's vocals in the first verse. He just sounds TOO EDITED.
*Wonder if it's in his plans to release an English version for the English-speaking American market in the near future too?
