The criminally-good looking blonde singer took to VEVO moments ago (Nov. 6) to premiere the music video for her song “Stand By You”, everybody’s new “support system” anthem. Whether or not she intentionally ripped off the beat of Katy Perry’s “Roar” for the chorus of “Stand by You”, this song – the latest single from Rachel’s forthcoming debut album, due in stores in late 2015/early 2016 – is too good, and a worthy follow-up to the smash hit “Fight Song”, which made Ms. Platten so popular in the States.
The “Stand By You” music video sees Rachel serving flawless body and toned legs in black and white dresses, and making love to the camera with her eyes, as the director of the MV show us the happy lives of a young and old couple, children, and college-age friends. So good to have a buddy who, whenever you need it, will lend you his/her shoulder to rest your head on, huh?
