Pitbull Talks Cuba In His New Song "Freedom": Listen Now!

pitbull freedom

Climate Change” is a reality. At least Pitbull’s version of it.

The Cuban-American rapper released by surprise today (January 8th) a new song titled “Freedom” on iTunes. The high-energy number is confirmed to be from Mr. Worldwide’s forthcoming tenth studio album “Climate Change”, which will arrive in stores at some point within the coming months via RCA Records.

The cover art for “Freedom” is the one you can see in the image above and that’s a gentleman in a tuxedo wearing a bow tie that’s half the American flag and half the Cuban flag. A nice hint from Pitbull at the improving relationship between the U.S and Cuba. Although the song is about many more things. Let’s find out! “I'm free to do what I want and have a good time / Now somebody, anybody, everybody, say / ‘Cause I'm free to do what I want and have a good time”, upliftingly sings Pitbull in the chorus. Over an EDM production, the Miami resident focuses on reminding us about the great things he’s achieved thanks to his career (getting a residency show in Las Vegas, having millions of views on YouTube, selling millions of albums or owning a ship) on the first part of “Freedom”, while on the second part he serves motivational speaker realness and makes the listeners of this song the targets of his words. “Feel free, have the time of our live, let's all get wild tonight”, Pitbull says. And also, Pitbull uses the “Freedom” title of the song for his own advantage and makes a clear political remark that in all honesty I’m sure all Cubans in this planet share: “Cuba, can't wait to live free”.

Not sure if Pitbull is going to make of "Freedom" an official single, but I know it is a nice track and it totally reminds me that I have weak spot for Pitbull's style of music.
