Nick Jonas Finally Releases “Under You” Video On VEVO: Watch Him Shirtless Here!
Last Friday, June 10th, the same day he dropped his new album “Last Year Was Complicated”, Nick Jonas premiered the music video for the rumored next single “Under You” online. However, he made the foolish mistake of premiering the Marc Klasfled-directed visual on Jay-Z’s flopping streaming platform TIDAL. And that was the only place Nick fans (the two or three that actually subscribed) could watch the “Under You” music video… until today (June 13). Four days later, everybody can now see Nick Jonas shirtleess (there’s a scene where he has no clothes covering his toned chest, yep) thanks to VEVO.
Thank God he didn’t keep the video as a TIDAL exclusive forever. Or perhaps that was his originally intention but seeing the poor streaming numbers of his new music video on TIDAL, he had not other choice than to rectify and release it on VEVO (where the streaming money really is)?
The music video for “Under You” - which I really, really hope is the next single from “Last Year Was Complicated” because it has the word “HIT” written all over it and I like it even more than Nick’s best-selling solo single to date “Jealous”, chronicles the tough break-up between Nick and “Pretty Little Liars” actress Shay Mitchell, who plays his on-screen ex-girlfriend. On the one hand, we have Nick looking really sad as he gazes through his penthouse window as heavy rain pours down, and on the other: Shay holding the tears as she reflects on their break-on on the bed at her house. Towards the end of music video we see Nick doing the right thing (I mean, they look so good as a couple, come on!) and driving to Shay’s place. There, he will find her under the shower all wet. And, forgetting to shut the water flow, Nick will comfort her and they will kiss - for he and she know they are best together. Awww!
