Nick Jonas Drops New Sultry R&B Single "Jealous" in Full [Audio]
Nick Jonas means no disrespect with his new single “Jealous”. Inspired by his current girlfriend Miss USA 2012/Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, “Jealous” – which hits both radio and iTunes today (September 8th) – will draw comparisons with Miguel or Justin Timberlake. The most beloved Jonas brother is done with pop music, and he is now embracing the R&B genre. Nick’s self-titled debut “solo” album (I still consider his "and the Administration" album his first solo album but whatever...) will be released this Fall via Island Records.
The album’s first single “Chains” charted nowhere (or was it a buzz single? Ah, the industry these days…), so before disaster comes, Nick hurries to release a new single, "Jealous". The music video will premiere next week, on September 16th.

If you thought the sound on "Chains" was going to be one of the many in the album Nick Jonas album, then with "Jealous" it is confirmed. He's going R&B. Don't get me wrong, I think he sounds brilliant in this kind of Justin Timberlake/Miguel records, but I’m worried that the general public won’t “buy” this new image/sound from him.
Nick said he wrote the lyrics for “Jealous” after a night out with her super-hot girlfriend Olivia Culpo and her turning a lot of heads. “Cause you’re too sexy, beautiful and everybody wants a taste / That’s why / I still get jealous”, sings Joe and Kevin’s brother in the chorus of his new single. Well-produced, well-written, and well-sung. "Jealous" is a great song. Hopefully non-Jonas Brothers fans will appreciate this as well. You just know that if Justin Timberlake was the one releasing this, the song would go #1.
