Nick Jonas - "Area Code" [Music Video Premiere!]
Nick Jonas released an early version of a new song titled “Area Code” through SoundCloud last month. Back then, the most successful Jonas brother let us know that with this “early version of “Area Code” sudden release” he was trying to, desperately, get a popular rapper (but with the “sound” of the song everybody immediately knew “that rapper” was Fetty Wap) to guest on it. Did he succeed? Unfortunately, no. Nick premiered today (Oct. 9) the official music video for “Area Code” – which now we now is an official “buzz single” from Nick’s upcoming re-release of his debut solo album – and it features the final/mastered version of the song and there’s no rapper in it – mission not accomplished! Still, I think “Area Code” is fine as it. It’s so good! The use of the vocoder in this is totally justified.

Black and white and simple and effective.
In the MV, we can see Nick wearing a black hoodie singing “Area Code” in the middle of a rainy day in a downtown, and him performing his “Trap Queen”-inspired track at a sold-out concert before a massive crowd.
