Belly, a Canadian rapper and friend of the “Earned It” star, released a mixtape called “Up for Days” yesterday via SoundCloud and one of the songs from the 10-song project is a collab with The Weeknd, and it’s not even necessary to say that “Might Not” is the best track, right? The Weeknd makes any song, any collab fire.org stuff. His talent is just ridiculous.
Belly better buy The Weeknd an expensive gift in gratitude for taking time from his busy schedule to record “Might Not” because without this song Belly’s mixtape would be NOTHING and I wouldn’t know who he is.
So what’s the synth-influenced “Might Not” about? Well, about The Weeknd getting some sort of ‘overdose’ and him saying to somebody that he “might not” make it some place he was supposed to be. “Might Not” is half R&B, thanks to The Weeknd’s sultry, mysterious verse, and hooks, and half urban, thank to Belly’s pretty decent rap – see I’m even praising your rap Belly!
