New Songs: 5 Seconds of Summer - 'Rejects' & 'If You Don't Know' (From 'Don't Stop' EP)

Pop/punk band 5 Seconds of Summer are set to release on June 13 in New Zealand (and in the rest of countries in the following days) their new ‘Don’t Stop’ EP. ‘Don’t Stop’ is the latest official single from the Australian band’s self-titled debut album, but in order to make the new single extra special, 5SOS have elected to release it via an EP bundle, where besides getting the radio edit of 'Don't Stop', fans will get the 'Ashton Demo Vocal’ version of it, as well as a revamped version of ‘Try Hard’, and THREE brand new songs; ‘Rejects’ and ‘If You Don’t Know’ and ‘Wrapped Around Your Finger’.

Thanks to the power of the Internet and to people that love to leak new music, we are able to listen NOW to the full versions of ‘Rejects’ and ‘If You Don’t Know’ (‘Wrapped Around Your Finger’ should follow soon, be patient!) one day ahead of the EP release.

Review:

‘Rejects’ is a very pop/punk track sound-wise (very heavy!), with 5 Seconds of Summer singing about how sometimes being an ‘outcast’ isn’t that bad.

‘If You Don’t Know’ is a more mellow song. It’s more radio-friendly, less heavy punk record with lyrics speaking of how communication is fundamental in a relationship. The 5SOS lead singer asks his girl to be honest with him and if she doesn’t like him anymore, she should tell him and ‘let him go-o-o-o-o’
