New Song: Katy B - 'What Love Is Made Of'
Katy B debuted her new single "What Love Is Made Of" on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show on Friday (May 10). The house-pop track serves as the official first single from the British singer's upcoming yet-untitled sophomore studio album, due in stores this October of 2013 via Rinse/Columbia Records Records. "What Love Is Made Of" is a kind of mellow house-pop cut in which Katy B puts on display once again her sweet and delicate vocals. The song is nice, but it's nothing extraordinary if I'm being honest. Not on my Katy B's Top 3 songs rank, that's for sure. Isn't the instrumental a little weak?. Not that I'm asking Katy B to go full mainstream and ask for a RedOne, Stargate massive dance production, but it's definitely lacking that 'oomph'. The chorus is kind of boppaple, though. Well oh well, who knows, "What Love Is Made Of" could be a grower. A dope music video could change a lot of things too!
