If Janelle showed off her eclectic and unique sound we all love on her first single "Q.U.E.E.N" featuring Erykah Badu, "Dance Apocalyptic" may be peceived as something a little more bland by Janelle Monae standards. It ain't a bad song, I mean it's so funky, and cute, and perfectly falls into the category of 'BOP', but perhaps, it's too mainstream for Janelle?. I don't know...there's a part of me that really looooves "Dance Apocalyptic", and another one that says; "Don't go there, Janelle! Stay in your quirky, and unique, and not so for-the-radio ambiance". But whatever, I think ultimately the part of me that digs "Dance Apocalyptic" and cannot help to BOP to it will prevail.
